Housewarming Party

digital illustratED invites & cards

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Invites and thank-you cards inviting guests to a housewarming party, featuring my favorite mid-century modern inspired furniture and objects.

Mid-Century Modern

Housewarming Invites + Thank-You Cards

Inspired by my favorite era of furniture design and its groovy colors and aesthetics, I set out to create cards that reflect my personality, sense of humor, and love of subtle “easter eggs” for those who notice the details.

Both designs fit inside a standard A7 (5.25” x 7.25”) announcement envelope of any color, making them easy to slap a stamp on and mail quickly. Each card also includes blank space for a handwritten note (or doodle), adding a personal quirky touch–so they’re fun enough to earn a long-term spot on the fridge!

ABOUT THE PROJECT

MID-CENTURY MODERN INVITES

Mid-Century Modern being my favorite era for furniture and pattern/color design, this project was influenced by retro furniture and accent pieces found at a local vintage store. What started as a simple 11×17” poster containing what turned out to be the front of the invite, the project turned into a digital illustration series of mid-century modern furniture and household objects (which is an ongoing project to this day).

Fun Fact: The name used on the invites were pulled from one of my favorite games, Stardew Valley (Caroline). The name Phoenix was actually a name I always thought would be a badass name for a child.
